Doctor AND Dentist!

Who would have thought that two tragic events within 24 hours could have had complete opposite results.....Let me explain....It was time for Kaden's first dentist visit. It had been scheduled for quite some time. It just so happened that Kash's 9 month doctor checkup was the day before. Well, you know what that means, this time of year....FLU SHOTS!! I figured while I was at the doctor with Kash, I may as well get Kaden's flu shot....that was a mistake. I only had to mention it to the nurse and Kaden was screaming and crying! We proceeded with Kash's visit and used sign language and hand motions to decide we were going to do Kaden's shot as well. When the nurse left, I think Kaden thought he was SAFE! Until she re-entered the room...with the NEEDLES!! He then started crying and saying, "I DON'T WANT A FLU SHOT!!" Bottom line, we got through it, and there I sat with two crying kids. P.S. By the way Kaden, I hate shots too! I think it is harder on the mom!! After it was all done, Kaden said, "Did they poke me??" Talk about apprehension! So, the next day was his dentist appointment. You can only imagine what I was thinking! I about cancelled it. With the help of aunt Katey bribing him and I, we went. It was a completely different story. He got in the chair and opened his mouth right up! The dentist started with a little bit at a time, thinking she probably wouldn't do the whole thing. He was so good, she ended up doing the whole cleaning! He never even moved! It was such a good experience, he can't wait to go back! A good experience for me as well. He didn't even have a cavity and they said his teeth looked great! Yeah! He left with a bag of treats that aunt Katey fixed him up with and couldn't have been happier!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This year for Halloween, Miss and I decided to take the kids to Park Valley. They dressed up in their costumes at Grandma's, and we went to the school carnival. There we played games and ate dinner. Grandpa Burt did the cake walk with the boys. Kaden was the first one to win...shock...shock...we never win! He was pretty excited. Walker also won. At the end of the night, they went trick or treating around the gym. I loved this, it was so easy! They all came home with a pumpkin full of treats. It was a fun time!
